NETWORK?
What is it? Where can I see it? A network is a connection between things, like computers (to form a connection), people (to form a community, trains (for a train network), or even a building's staircase, that creates a conection between the floors. So, a network is a connection between things, that may be visible, as well as not visible. The biggest example of a network is the internet, that connects us to everybody on Earth. With the proper use of the internet, we can talk to each other and even make new friends on the internet.
In the history, if we go way way back to say where human populations were just growing in different places, even those tiny little villages would be a network. Staying together and communicating is the path to forming a network. But, in that time, everybody was not connected. But, today we know what happens in each and every country, just with the television or the internet. Thus, with time and developments in technology, the biggest network has been formed, that exists on the Earth. Even today, we are trying to expand our network by looking for life on the other planets that exist.
Thus, a network is the result of technological developments, and in the forming of these networks, we humans benefit a lot. It is also to make it easier for people who like to communicate with other humans.
